Mayor Anthony Grant

A native of Orlando and lifelong resident of Eatonville, Anthony Grant was elected Mayor in March of 1994. This election bore the unique distinction of his being the youngest African-American Mayor of the 388 elected within the United States in 1994. Prior to his election, Mayor Grant attended Edgewater High School and Seminole College. Along with serving (2) successful stints on the Eatonville Town Council, he has received several awards for outstanding public service. The most recent nomination is that of the “Good Government Award” which is presented by the West Orange Jaycees

Vice Mayor Marilyn Davis


Marilyn Davis moved to Eatonville in 1968, remaining active in the community since that time.  She's served as Secretary of the Eatonville Citizens, Inc. for three years and was Founders Day Chairperson in 1994.  Elected to Town council in 1994.  She presently serves as Vice Mayor of Eatonville's Town Council and is beginning her 2nd term March 2005.

Councilman Kelvan Franklin

A lifelong resident of the historic Town of Eatonville, Kelvan Franklin is a 1977 graduate of Edgewater High School. Franklin went on to serve our country faithfully in the U.S. Marine Corp for 22 years and is an Honorable Retiree. He is also a member of the Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge Order and the Florida Black Caucus local elected officials. Franklin is the proud father of three beautiful daughters Lakeisha and twins Kira and Kamyla.

Dr. Joyce Barnes

 

 

 

Dr. Barnes is currently the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Eatonville. She is a highly motivated individual, who has combined over 20 years of administrative/executive level governmental and corporate experience.  Dr. Barnes has provided key leadership in human resources, labor relations, occupational medicine, healthcare, risk management education, training and business development with a strong background in management information systems. 

Dr. Barnes’ accomplishments encompass establishing educational training programs, developing contracts between city and county entities, acting as national consultant to governmental and private sectors, colleges and universities, and developing national conferences as well as appearing as guest speaker and serving as an advisor to several boards.  She has also served as a contributing author on articles concerning personnel, supervisory and middle management and risk management.
